The 700-fill-down insulation offers optimal warmth-to-weight ratio and compressibility. Down provides more insulation per ounce than any other material, making it the optimal insulator. 700 fill power is on the higher end of the downrating scale, so you can rely on it providing great warmth and comfort in adverse conditions. A full zip also exists on the jacket to provide adjustable comfort. The zip can be worn up when temperatures drop to seal in escaping heat or when temperatures rise it can be worn down to release an intolerable heat build-up.
